Safety first background

Safety First

A clear, simple view of how we keep you safe – from the equipment you use, to the guides beside you, to the boat that brings you home.

01 • Safety First

Safety First

Everything we do starts with safety. Every dive is planned, briefed, and supervised with clear limits so you can relax and enjoy the experience rather than worry about the details.

Before you enter the water, we walk you through the dive from start to finish: where we are going, maximum depth, expected current, and how we stay together. We review hand signals, entry and exit methods, where the guide will be at all times, and exactly what to do if at any point you feel cold, tired, or simply want to go up.

We keep groups deliberately small so your guide can focus on you, not on managing a crowd. On the surface we check how you feel, confirm your air and weights, and agree on a simple plan. Underwater we monitor air, depth, and comfort level, and we end or adapt the dive if anyone needs to, no questions asked.

Briefing before the dive
02 • Certified Equipment

Certified Equipment

Your gear is your life support underwater – so we treat it that way. Only certified brands, regular servicing, and careful checks before every dive, regardless of how experienced you are.

All of our BCDs, regulators, tanks, wetsuits, and computers are maintained on a fixed service schedule by trained technicians. We log every inspection and service so we always know exactly when a part was checked, cleaned, or replaced. Cylinders are visually inspected and pressure tested according to international standards.

Before each dive, we assemble and check your setup with you: air on, inflator working, alternate air source ready, weights balanced, and straps adjusted so nothing is too tight or too loose. If something does not feel right, we fix it or change it immediately – we will never pressure you to dive with equipment you are not fully happy with.

03 • Professional Guides

Professional Guides

Local professionals who know these sites, these currents, and these conditions – and who stay by your side from the first hello to the last surface check.

Our guides are PADI professionals with hundreds of dives in Rasdhoo. They choose sites that match your level and the conditions of the day, not the other way around. If visibility, current, or surface conditions are not what we expect, we change the plan, the depth, or even the site – your safety and enjoyment are worth more than sticking to a schedule.

Underwater, your guide leads calmly, keeps the pace slow, and checks the group regularly. Nervous diver, first dive in a long time, or brand new to the ocean – we take the time you need so that you always feel supported and never rushed. There is always space to signal, stop, and breathe before continuing.

04 • Safety Protocols

Safety Protocols

Simple, clear rules that everyone follows: conservative depth limits, safety stops, and plenty of time on the surface between dives.

We plan all dives within no-decompression limits with an extra safety margin. Safety stops are standard, not optional, and we leave enough surface time between dives so your body can off-gas comfortably. We use dive computers, tables, and experience together, not just one or the other.

Buddy checks are part of every dive, even with experienced guests. We also keep an eye on weather and currents during the day and will change the site or cancel if conditions are not right – we always choose safety over schedule.

05 • Modern Vessels

Modern Vessels

Clean, comfortable boats designed for diving – with safety equipment that is checked before every trip.

Our boats carry life jackets for every guest, first aid kits, emergency oxygen, radio communication, and navigation equipment. Engines and safety gear are inspected regularly and recorded in our logs.

Entry and exit are kept simple with stable ladders and clear procedures, so you never have to rush. The crew is there to help you with tanks and gear, letting you focus on your balance, footing, and comfort when moving around the boat.

06 • Emergency Procedures

Emergency Procedures

Prepared for the moments we hope never happen – with clear steps, trained staff, and the right equipment on hand.

All staff are trained in first aid, CPR, and oxygen administration. On every trip we know where the nearest medical support is, how to reach it, and who to call if we ever need extra help. In the rare event of a diving emergency, a hyperbaric chamber is located within 5 minutes reach, ensuring rapid access to specialized decompression treatment if ever needed.

We also brief you in simple language on what to do if you feel unwell, anxious, or tired – both underwater and on the boat. Our goal is to prevent problems before they start, but if something does happen, everyone knows what to do and who is responsible for each step so the response is calm and quick, not chaotic.

How We Keep Every Dive Safe

Safety is not a single checklist – it is a culture that runs through every part of your experience with us. From planning and briefings to equipment, boats, and post‑dive care, each step is designed to keep you relaxed, informed, and in control.

Pre‑Dive Checks

Briefings, medical questions, and equipment checks before every single dive – no shortcuts, even with experienced divers.

During the Dive

Small groups, conservative limits, and guides who are always close enough to see your signals and check your comfort.

After the Dive

Safety stops, surface monitoring, and clear guidance on flying after diving, hydration, and rest between dives.

For Every Experience Level

From first‑time discover scuba to advanced divers, we adapt the dive plan, depth, and pace to match your comfort.

Your Role in a Safe Dive

Safety is a partnership. We bring the training, equipment, and planning – you bring honest communication and listening to your own body. Together, we make sure every dive stays inside your comfort zone.

  • Tell us about any medical conditions, past injuries, or medications.
  • Ask questions during the briefing – there are no “silly” questions.
  • Signal early if you feel cold, tired, anxious, or uncomfortable.
  • Stay close to your buddy and your guide, especially in current.
  • Respect no‑decompression limits, safety stops, and surface intervals.

First‑Time or Nervous Diver?

Let us know – we can slow everything down, start shallower, and keep you closer to the guide, so you have time to build trust and enjoy each moment.

We are happy to dedicate extra briefing time, adjust your weights, or even start with a gentle shallow dive to help you feel completely ready.

Safety Questions, Answered

If you have any concerns about medical conditions, fitness to dive, or what to expect, we are always available to talk before you book or before you step on the boat.

Plan a Safe Dive with Us

Prefer to chat first? Reach out via WhatsApp, email, or your guesthouse and we will answer all your questions.

Can I dive if I have not been in the water for a long time?

Yes – in fact, we encourage it with extra care. We can start with a refresher in shallow water or an easy first dive, review basic skills, and keep the depth and time conservative so you can rebuild confidence at your own pace.

What medical conditions should I tell you about?

Please always tell us about any heart, lung, ear, or sinus issues, recent surgeries, pregnancy, medications, or anything else you are unsure about. We may ask for a doctor’s clearance or adapt the plan – your honesty helps us keep you safe.

Is there emergency oxygen and first aid on the boat?

Yes. Every trip carries emergency oxygen, a full first aid kit, communication equipment, and staff trained in first aid, CPR, and oxygen administration, with clear plans to reach medical support if needed. Additionally, a hyperbaric chamber is available within 5 minutes reach for any diving-related emergencies requiring decompression treatment.

Can non‑divers or snorkelers join safely?

Absolutely. We brief snorkelers separately, provide life jackets if requested, choose suitable sites, and keep a close eye on the surface to ensure everyone enjoys the water safely.
